Promoter of M/S Sunray Industries, Mr B.Choudhury is a Mechanical Engineer graduated in 1979 from NIE Mysore. He soon after joined as Engineer in Rolling Mill in the capacity of Manager & managed the same for five months. He subsequently started worked in three more companies in one year of time. As he did not get the satisfaction in working for some one, he started with a maintenance firm to take up the repair of Machines on call to call basis. During 1980 to 1992 he continued the same and he was serving more than 190 establishments in and around Mysore, Karnataka. As he had problem to get skilled people to carry out the operation & opted out the business from maintenance to manufacturing.
Year 1992 onwards, Mr B.Choudhury started making small components for machines as import substitute. Components like Marpose Coil, Submersible Coil (for dancing fountain), Quick response coil (for NC Machine) & within a span of few months, he had several designs to his credits.
During the Kargil War in 1999, the Defence Organisation could not procure the machine from USA,. To serve the frontier Soldier Defence, to supply the ration and requested there was a need to develop a machine. As this was the cause for the Nation, We developed a machine within 25 days to pack RTE Food.
The journey started to a new dimension & from then we did not look back. We have been designing different Packaging Machine for Food and today, we are having appox 300 designs for varieties of Packaging Machine and food related machine to suit any type of food packaging.
